Privacy Policy

DiskApp is made by AISS SOFTWARE. This is the short version because there isn’t much to say: the app doesn’t collect your data.

What DiskApp does on your Mac

Scanning, sizing, safety checks, and clearing all happen locally, in the app, on your Mac. Nothing about your files — names, sizes, paths, contents — is sent anywhere. There’s no account to create and nothing to sign in to, so there’s no DiskApp server holding information about you or your disk.

What the app sends over the network

No analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no usage tracking. The app makes exactly two kinds of requests, and neither includes anything about your files:

Update checks. On launch and every few hours, DiskApp downloads a small file from diskapp.app that lists the latest version, and on launch a small settings file that says whether DiskApp Pro is on sale. Like any web request, these reveal your IP address and app version to our host (Cloudflare). If you choose to install an update, the new version is downloaded from the same place.

License checks (Pro only). When you activate a license key, and when the app starts afterwards, DiskApp sends the key to Lemon Squeezy, which sells Pro, to confirm it’s valid. The key and the email on your purchase are saved in a file on your Mac so the app can show them. Deactivating removes that file.

If we ever add anything else, such as opt-in crash reports, it’ll be announced here first, off by default, and never include file names or paths.

This website

diskapp.app itself (the page you’re reading this on, separate from the app) is hosted on Cloudflare and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate: which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from. It sets no cookies, doesn’t fingerprint you, and doesn’t track you across other sites.

Email

If you email us, we use your address only to reply. We don’t sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete our correspondence at any time.

Payments

DiskApp Pro is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record: it handles checkout, your card details, taxes and receipts under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full payment information. We receive the order details Lemon Squeezy shares with sellers, such as your name, email and what you bought, and use them only to support your purchase.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date below and, for material changes, say so on the site.
